More news and videos on Spb Mobile Shell 3.0

PaulSpoerry | February 27, 2009

A super secret site has popped up (ok prolly not SUPER secret) highlighting more about the upcoming Spb Mobile Shell 3.0. Version 3.0 was announced at Mobile World Congress February 16th and is not released yet. However, if you buy Spb Mobile Shell 2.1.5 (the most current on Spb’s site) you’ll get a free upgrade to 3.0! The current version only costs $29.95.

I’ve used Spb Mobile Shell 2.x. Plain and simple it rawks. I had an HTC Touch (CMDA version) and the carrier locked down TouchFlo was a piece of crap. Slow and loaded with carrier junk. I dumped it in favor of Spb Mobile Shell 2.x and never looked back. I’ve since upgraded to an HTC Touch Pro. Same deal, TouchFlo3D is slow… however with custom ROM’s and tweaks you can make it seriously rock. Will I have a NEED for Mobile Shell 3.0? Check out the video and the impressive list of new features… it’ll surely give TF3D a run for it’s money as it comes with the following new features:

  • Widgets
  • Professional and lifestyle home screens
  • Facebook integration
  • 3D screen switcher
  • Kinetic scrolling
  • Windows Mobile 6.5 support

You really need to see the video to get the fully effect of what Spb has done with this release.
