The Ultimate List of Private BitTorrent Trackers

PaulSpoerry | August 23, 2009

Replacing The Pirate Bay is easier said then done. The tracker is currently responsible for approximately half of all public torrent transfers, which represents a significant percentage of global Internet traffic. However, history has shown that BitTorrent users are an adaptive species that simply migrates to the next site when their home bases become uninhabitable.

For privacy, private torrents are the way to go. Demonoid is one of the oldest (semi) private trackers out there and still has open registration. For a comprehensive list there is BTRACS, which is an automatic information site which periodically checks closed community Bittorrent trackers for being open for signup. Some closed community Bittorrent trackers’ signups are closed and are “invite only” (meaning, if you have a user, you can invite your friend to join or a friend can invite you). The main page refreshes every 10 minutes and shows a list of Bittorrent private trackers open for signup.

Visit BTRACS now.
