So You Think You Can Dance had a great run this year. Unlike previous years, which ended in a contemporary dancer taking it all this year it came down to two b-boys. Earlier in the season there was an AMAZING popper named Robert Murraine aka Mr. Fantastic. This guys was CRA-ZY; but he dropped out during Vegas week. Another well known popper was Phillip Chbeeb and on the season finale they had a poplock battle. Check it out:

So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) has kicked off Season 4. I have to admit that this is one of my favorite shows on TV. They of course follow the American Idol format of showing a bunch of whack jobs the first few weeks but then it dives right into serious dancing. The street dancers are always my favorite, especially when they are versatile enough to keep up with contemporary, swing, quickstep, etc.

The real stand out of week 1 (May 22nd, 2008) was Robert Muraine (or is it Robert Murraine?), also known as “Mr. Fantastic” on the street. This audition is simply mind blowing, it reminded me of Bryan Gaynor - the little robot man - from last season. Most contestants get 1 minute to do their stuff, the judges are so entertained by this guy that it goes on for nearly 7 minutes. It was an awesome way to end the first show.

Why this popped into my head today I’ll never know. But this lil guy can move and it sho puts a smile on my face to watch.
