Atooma makes automating your Android simple. Unlike other automation apps Atooma has a simple interface that can have you up and running in under 5 minutes.
Atooma automates your Android
Atooma gives you access to your Android’s sensors and components, and with a simple interface allows you to program your phone to do things automatically. For instance, you could have it switch to Wi-Fi when you get home, mute notifications and ringtones when you get to the office, or automatically send a tweet or Facebook message in a particular event.
There are of course similar applications like Tasker, Llama, and on{x} that can do this but… let’s put it this way there’s no way my mom would ever figure out how to use those apps. With a little training I could get her up and running with Atooma in no time. How? Atooma uses a simple IFTTT (If This Then That) approach that’s easy to understand. According to Atooma:
“Create your Atooma to get any kind of tasks automagically performed on your smartphone. You can set up conditional events (IF) that trigger simple actions (DO).”
Since the Atooma interface is so simple to get the hang of making it useful shouldn’t be a problem. So if you’ve been intimidated by or couldn’t figure out apps like Tasker this one is worth checking out. Atooma can upload files to Dropbox, you can shake your phone to dismiss calls, or notify your loved one when you’ve left work (have dinner ready!).
Atooma is currently in beta, but it’s free and available to download now at Google Play.
