May 3, 2012 by Paul Spoerry Leave a Comment

Looking for a free cloud-based storage service? Use this overview to help you pick which one is the best fit for your needs.

“Cloud” storage is all the rage this days with the release of Google Drive and the huge upgrade at SkyDrive. The folks over at Freeware Genius gathered up specs on all of the major free online storage services and the broke them down and compared them based on initial free storage, max storage, OS support for desktop apps and mobile apps, number of supportive devices, and so on. They even detail why certain services were excluded (such as lack of a desktop folder syncing app).

The result? They like SkyDrive, Dropbox, iDrive, and Google Drive. Hit up the full article, Comparison of Free Cloud Storage Services, over at Freeware Genius for in-depth breakdown.
