DonorsChoose Smartboard

June 27, 2012 by Paul Spoerry 2 Comments

I helped fund Ms. Johnson’s classroom project on DonorsChooose.org and the kids all send me pictures!

This past year I decided it was time to start upping my donations. I have it pretty good in life and giving a little back seemed the right thing to do. It didn’t take long for me to settle on DonorsChoose. I come from a family of teachers and have a son in grade school. I started with my sister’s class; she teacher autistic kids. Then I went to see the principal of my son’s gifted program to see if I could help them get started. After that I just started picking classes that needed IT funding, because… well I’m a geek so that seemed a natural fit.

One of the projects I funded was SmartBoard software for Ms. Johnson’s class SmartBoard and the kids mailed me pictures!
