It’s Official: Mormon Founder Had Up to 40 Wives
The church made the disclosure about Joseph Smith to show transparency about its history at a time when some members have been feeling doubtful.

Turns out he took as many as 40 wives, some already married and one only 14 years old.

I grew up Mormon and while I knew of the polygamy of Brigham Young I didn't know about Smith's. I still think it, like all religions, are coocoo for Cocoa Puffs but gotta give'em credit for going all full frontal transparent with their past.
