For my readers who don't know what is DMCA, here it is :
The digital millennium copyright act (dmca) amended title 17 of the us code to extend the reach of copyright, while limiting the liability of online providers from copyright infringement by their users.

While I understand the need to compensate content creators, organizations like the RIAA, MPAA, etc are only fighting a losing battle against piracy. Instead, they should find creative ways to easily let people consume the media when and how they want, and at a fair price. IMO these places just see the writing no the wall… technology is democratizing content distribution and their iron grip on being the gatekeepers to media is slipping away.

+Paul Spoerry we have in France and Europ the same discussion with people for and people against (usualy major companies) the democratizing of culture and art (technology is not yet popular here except for geeks). Some artists (author, musicians…) agree with the people for and even give a part of their creation on the web. They think that there agent companies should win their money only on the concerts or expositions they sign for them, not on the sale and resale of their creations. Distribution should be a third party contracting only with artists if they want to distribute they work and not with the agent companies. Then it will be cheaper.
