Dear +Amazon.com, you're doing it wrong

March 7, 2015 by Paul Spoerry 5 Comments

I've been a long time Prime customer (two day delivery FTW, except lately) and if I can order it on Amazon I do order it on Amazon (I even rack up points with an Amazon visa… Keeps me and the fam stocked on video games via points). I fully understand delays but what's not cool is telling me it'll be here whilst simultaneously telling me it's in another state.

The tracking page had been useless for awhile, especially if you are a prime account holder. Gave up on it months ago.

The last time I paid for overnight shipping, the tracker kept saying the package would be delivered on the expected date even after it was four days beyond that date and the package was still several states away. When I asked amazon for a refund, whoever responded said "it has only been 4 days, please give it more time." I had to go a few rounds to get my shipping fee refunded.

I like you have am a Prime member and have the Visa card. I'm still a fan but won't fall for the expedited/overnight shipping again.

Amazon sometimes should use Jiffy Express. http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/jiffy-express/n10315

Agreed… and generally it shows that it leaves the warehouse pretty quick but then shipping takes forever. I get that Amazon ISN'T the shipper… but I didn't buy from the shipper I bought from Amazon so they should be putting pressure on the shippers.

Yeah, that. And, if I tell Amazon that USPS doesn't deliver to my house then they should stop sending USPS.
