As more and more parents are choosing not to vaccinate their children or are vaccinating them later, diseases like measles are making a comeback. +It's Okay To Be Smart break down the history and science of vaccines.
The US eliminated measles (or so we thought) in the year 2000, but because of parents not vaccinating their kids, or doing it later than recommended, it's making a comeback. This is something simple to prevent with vaccination. Get this though… in a susceptible population measles each sick person will infect up to 18 others. For comparison… ebola the infection rate is 2. 90% of unprotected people who come in contact with measles (even just breathing the same air) will become infected… but it can be easily prevented with vaccination.

Science is key
Immigrants, they are all tested and vaccinated once they become citizens. The ones running across the border could be carrying too, this is why they stressed border regulations to begin with, to make sure they arent fugitives escaping justice, that they are healthy and not put into population carrying anything like, bombs, drugs, diseases and lice, etc.
I hope that these videos, webcomics, etc keep coming out. Maybe we can ship the anti-vaccine folks to an island for a control study.
I have lice and I am vaccinated!
+sarah peak There's a shampoo for that 😊
Been using it. 3 weeks now. My kids got um too and we sleep and cuddle together. Gonna try another medication.. Shampoo only kills living lice. So all larvae and eggs are unaffected.
Did you know that the government made a separate Court for claims against vaccine manufacturers to deal with the damages caused by vaccines. That ought to tell you how many people have been harmed by vaccines. You can view the records of the settlements and what they were for and how much money they got. Many resulted in death and most involve lots of money. Very scary. I think we're lucky that we weathered the vaccines without obvious damage to our bodies. Lots of people weren't so lucky.
That's a lot of assumptions based on very general observations. Foremost of those assumptions is that the court was established due to the number of legitimate suits rather than the combination of legit (proven to be less dangerous than taking a walk) and frivolous cases.
I don't have the data yet, but I'd be interested to know the number of specialized courts and if their reasoning for establishing them was to keep pointless fear-mongering cases from clogging up general courts.
I'll keep my vaccines. There's more important battles to fight for in my opinion and I don't have an unlimited amount of free time.
+sarah peak And I imagine that sleeping together is just re-introducing lice to each other and the bedding/pillows each night. I doubt that you'll ever get rid of them with that strategy.
Separate sleeping and wash pillows/bedding each night or as often as possible.
Is idiotic to not think twice when you look at all the settlements.
In a recent 3 months period there were 202 claims to our set aside government trust funds that are there for the purpose of compensation for people when they are fucked up by vaccines. That's totally scary. Mostly the flu vaccine. Lots of baby deaths at their first well visit. Can you imagine. So I would not be so quick to trust them. The truth is we don't know the truth.
+sarah peak in many cases, the court costs are much higher than the settlement amounts. It's just math, not truth. Though I agree with you that I would like to know more details on the cases.
If you make claims please cite sources.
For instance, not getting a measles vaccination:
* As many as one out of every 20 children with measles gets pneumonia, the most common cause of death from measles in young children.
* About one child out of every 1,000 who get measles will develop encephalitis (swelling of the brain) that can lead to convulsions and can leave the child deaf or with intellectual disability.
* For every 1,000 children who get measles, one or two will die from it.
* Measles may cause pregnant woman to give birth prematurely, or have a low-birth-weight baby.
