Dutch pranksters read bible passages to people but tell them it's from the Qur’an

December 4, 2015 by Paul Spoerry 1 Comment

The Qur’an is full of barbaric and misogynistic things. It's a critique often leveled at Islam. So a couple Dutch pranksters bought a bible and swapped the cover for one from the Qur’an. Then they asked people to read passages and give their thoughts. It went exactly as you'd expect.

To be fair… the Dutch aren't super religious; only about 34% of the population identifies as Christian (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_the_Netherlands). It'd be pretty hilarious to see this reproduces in the US where the religious rhetoric is always cranked to a volume of 11.

This experiment should be replicated in religiously conservative parts of America.
