Elon Musk and SolarCity unveil ‘world’s most efficient’ solar panel

Elon Musk and SolarCity unveil the ‘World’s most efficient’ solar panel
SolarCity is ready to start mass-producing these more efficient panels.

They say they hit peak efficiency of 22.04%, are the same size as traditional panels, produce 30-to-40% more power.

    Good, sunpower were a bunch of assholes. We don't need better panels until we get storage options. Solar city should've payed their engineers to work on that major flaw of the industry instead.

    Actually, the Tesla group is working on the storage side with their battery technology. So really, this is a good thing.

    +Nic Moore do a search for Tesla's powerwall, they are going to be handling the storage side. The gigafactory they are building will be making these batteries.

    +Marc Wenning I have. I've had one in order for 6 months now. They said October. I'm still waiting. By the time they come out I'll need three of em. Not to mention now I need to get a bunch of new inverters because there isn't many or any with those specs right now.

    Cool. Still wish we had gotten our roof covered in panels back when the government was giving them away. 🙁
