The first U.S. penny, which is 223 years old, sold for $1.2million bucks. Known as the "Birch Cent," was made in 1792, months after the one-cent denomination was first authorized by Congress and there are only ten known to be in existence.
Thomas Jefferson and George Washington discussed the design in letters dated August 1792… how shocking they didn't suggest anything to do with religion but instead had a completely different focus. Oh how times have changed.

Holy Cow…… I need to build a time machine, go back to 1792, pocket one of those pennies, and bring it back to 2015.
…….of course if I could build a time machine, more than likely I'd have more that $1.2 million already, as something like that costs mad cabbage…….so yeah, I'll just shut up now…….. 😐
