“Fox & Friends” just can’t stop the spin: In the wake of Charleston, we must arm our pastors and priests
It’s “extraordinary” that it’s being investigated as a hate crime, Steve Doocy said — it’s an attack on Christians VIDEO
Co-host Steve Doocy (the smart one of that show) says it's “extraordinarily referred it as a ‘hate crime,’ because it was a white guy at a black church.” He then continued saying that Bishop Jackson made “a great point about the hostility towards Christians,” suggesting that the attack had a religious instead of racial motivation.
I don't even know what to say… why do these idiots still have a show?
No talk about going after the ultra right wing christian and racists terror groups in the USA?
"The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is a child molester with a gun."
I just posted a sarcastic comment that the NRA said that if the congregation had been armed this would have turned out differently, and now it's an actual opinion. How can people believe a bunch of armed citizens will create anything but chaos and death after the first shot is fired? Trained soldiers lose it, cops lose it. People would have no clue who the bad guy is, panic and just shoot anyone with a gun.
And when the cops arrive on scene and see a bunch of people holding guns they aren't going to know who is the shooter and who are the "protectors" and just shoot everyone.
The reason they have the show is unlimited money from a Saudi Prince. The same reason Faux News exists!!!
Has it come to having security, metal detectors in Gods house oh my. Sodom—- Gomorrah comes to mine!!!!!! This tragedy is so hurtful to an already hurting city (Walter Scott shooting) ALL LIFE MATTERS!!!!!! I live in Charleston, I am sorry to say I am awaiting graduation from college I will take my education & move back to NC or VA. I have watched the crime grow to epidemic proportions. Its not safe to go os ur door. Pray the armour of GOD ovr urself b4 entering the world. SC has issues with education, health care issues, racism, I could go on but won't. Let's unite & pray for those families affected.
Pray for the other residents of Charleston who seek change but high officials want to keep ppl whr they r at DOWN.
CANT KEEP THIS WOMAN OF CHRIST DOWN. I'M A LIONESS.
+stephany barber thanks for the laugh. If there was a god, this shooter would have been struck down before he walked into the house of god. Just proves NO god!!!
Another shooting in the US, give out more guns
Yeah, give those guys weapons… that'll help. smh
The solution to shootings is to give people more guns, of course! We should also give drug addicts more drugs
At least if you give drug addicts more drugs they only OD themselves. Give guns to more people and they shoot non-gun people.
Yes, but either way, it's a terrible idea
Yup… this "the answer to gun violence is more guns" worldview is equally as mind boggling to me as the notion that Christianity is being oppressed.
+Randy Sagoo lmao are you serious? Or are you being funny?
We live in the last days it will only get worse prepare your self.
Complete joke
+Daphne Sylk yeah they think everyone in a terrible situation will turn into superhero.
+Paul Spoerry it is. At home and abroad. You don't have to use guns or swords or beheadings to oppress someone. Through the media, through laws, you can accomplish the same thing. An atheist group suing a church for advertising their bible study in a mall. Robert griffin the third turning his shirt inside out just because it reads "Jesus saves". Christians being portrayed as idiots and bible thumping right wing white republicans. Words can go a long way my friend.
The courts being used to persecute Christians?? Are we really gonna go there? LOL
+Steve A. Did I say anything about courts? No I didn't. The better question is, are YOU gonna go there? Lmao
Sorry… I was assuming laws involved courts. My bad.
+Steve A. As predetermined, not as determined after because it affects the views of Christianity. I'm sorry that you believe that courts don't involve laws, because your last statement certainly implied it.
Holy crap dude… you can't remember what you wrote less than an hour ago. I was being sarcastic. Think while you type.
+Steve A. b I know you were being sarcastic, hence me being facetious. If you think me unable to interpret sarcasm, then this conversation is over.
F**k salon, they propagate hate they should be put in jail for hat crimes upos
+Randy Sagoo for u to say there is no god who you think created us.u think people got here by them selfs.dum ass.
+Lejuan Pilgrim we are just animals like the rest of the animals on this world. Just happened by itself. No creator no god!! Thanks for the proving that religious people tend to be good for nothing except for calling names.!!!
+Randy Sagoo if you take this man seriously and create a broad view of "religion" based on him, then you are no less an idiot then he is. Bravo chump
+Lejuan Pilgrim Before you go attempting to insult someone for their intelligence perhaps you should form full sentences. There are plenty of explanations for how we got here… none of which require a deity. You're free to believe in unicorns, you just don't get to require me to do so.
+яєναи ɾҽժҽҽʍҽժ Are you seriously trying to throw out the phrase "…through laws…" and then try to turn that one it's head when +Steve A. asks if courts are persecuting Christians?! You do know that the judiciary is the system of courts that interprets and applies the law right!? The laws you claim are persecuting Christians? Puh-lease
I did a quick search and can find no reference to Atheists suing a church for advertising their bible study in a mall. Sounds like something you heard watching Faux News.
Robert Griffin has been twice fined by the NFL for wearing non-approved logos or clothing on game days. He was fined $10,000 for wearing an Adidas shirt to his news conference after he was hurt against the Ravens in 2012, and he was fined another $10,000 by the NFL for wearing an Adidas logo on the field before a 2013 preseason game. So before he addressed reporters on Sunday — in his uncharacteristically informal attire — Griffin turned the Know Jesus Know Peace T-shirt inside out. No big deal unless you're a Christian who decides that a narrative where it was an attack on Christianity instead of just the fucking NFL rules (you can read them here: http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/rulebook/pdfs/8_Rule5_Players_Subs_Equip_GeneralRules.pdf) that prohibit him from wearing it.
"Christians being portrayed as idiots and bible thumping right wing white republicans."… Did you even read what this article linked to? Did you even read what he said? If you think these ass clowns represent Christian values by making statements like the ones there were made you're simply perpetuating the idiot, bible thumping, right wing white Republican position. This wasn't an attack on Christians because of their faith.
I LOVE JESUS MY SAVIOUR get it right no replies to me if U R not keep slighted remarks to URSELF personally I owe mortal man nothing but I owe HIM everything. Wow ppl play the religious recteric so quickly. Worship urs I'll worship my Lord. 😖😠😤😤😤
+stephany barber Thanks for chiming in and contributing absolutely nothing to the topic of how Fox News immediately tried to spin this away from a racial motivated shooting and tried to spin it into an anti-Christian thing. This entire post was about how Fox played the religious card.
Yeah and they corrected it when the facts came out and have repeatedly said it was a racist act. Get over yourselves.art least they didn't saylor was courageous and brave lounge that idiot twit said on cnn about the other attacks on the police. Oh that's right thatdidn't fit with your leftist agenda soo toy chose to ignore it. Instead you attack stephany for Brett religious beliefs. What a real man you are, your nothing but a little leftist sheep. Don't bother responding because I'm not saying anymore time with you or the intolerant left! Goodbye
+Kevin Kohloff appreciate u. His ignorance is bliss. I laugh n his face. Don't have time to respond to his ignorance. I'm persecuted everyday for loving MY GOD. I'm good.
+Paul Spoerry I've no idea where you're coming from, but if you'd like a link to a time and when atheists trip foot over heel just to sue some church halfway across the country feel free to ask me, and I'll happily provide it.
+яєναи ɾҽժҽҽʍҽժ You were the one who said, "An atheist group suing a church for advertising their bible study in a mall." I looked and couldn't find any instance of that occurring. Feel free to cite your source.
+stephany barber Yet you took time to comment again? rolling eyes I've yet to hear any valid argument for how Christians are persecuted… not that it has any relevance beyond that fact that Fox News knee jerk reaction was to ignore the black/white racial motivation and instead attempt to frame it as being religiously motivated.
Check this out I have to time to feed n2 ur BS sir. Xcuse my language. Keep ur reteric to urself I see the incident the way I do u see it ur way. Simple. This isn't a debate ppl wr shot dwn killed in the house of the LORD. I'm a child of the LORD comprende!!!!! Get it straight keep it straight with this woman of GOD or better yet don't acknowledge this post how about that.
+Paul Spoerry hard to believe someone could be so blind. http://insider.foxnews.com/2014/11/29/they-dont-want-god-our-community-or-country-atheist-group-sues-mayor-kent-guinn-over. and http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/5186066 . these are only two instances in when atheists harass believers for no reason.
I have no blinders on vision Crystal Clear
I AM A REAL TRUE BELIEVER IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
+stephany barber You keep coming back to MY post, commenting, and then telling me not to acknowledge it. Perhaps you should stop commenting like a child looking for attention?
+яєναи ɾҽժҽҽʍҽժ I'm not blind; just informed. Also, you've YET to produce any citations of "An atheist group suing a church for advertising their bible study in a mall."… I'm still waiting.
* HuffPo article is referencing to The Pledge of Allegiance, of which the words Under God were not originally a part. Like our currency it was added at a much later date. The words 'Under God" were not added to The Pledge until 1954. Frankly, it's a violation of church and state in my opinion and I totally agree with it. The original Pledge was, "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
* Fox News article (OMG this is the best… you're proving my point about Fox with a Fox article)… is making the assertion that a Humanist group was suing because there was prayer at a vigil. Again, they leave out key points to fit their narrative. There's nothing wrong with people organizing and praying. It's something entirely different when organized not by individuals but by a part of the government.
The police chief posted a letter to the department's Facebook page stating that they were facing a crisis that "requires fervent prayer" (still available here: https://www.facebook.com/125917117419968/photos/a.769621979716142.1073741891.125917117419968/888420577836281/?type=1). It's fine for him to believe that, and it's fine for you to believe that, it's not fine for a portion of the government to assert that we all should believe that. Additionally, they weren't sued… a letter was sent asking them to remove that post, pointing out "There are many ways the police can support a community that is experiencing a crime spree, but such religious proselytizing is not an acceptable means.". They refused. It gets worse… when members of the community complained about the problem to Ocala’s Mayor Kent Guinn he respond "There is nothing in the constitution to prohibit us from having this vigil. Not only are we not canceling it we are trying to promote it and have as many people as possible to join us. We open every council meeting with a prayer. And we end the prayer in Jesus name we pray. our city seal says “God be with us” and we pray that he is and us with him." — so right there we've got government officials not promoting prayer, or solitude, or a moment of silence, but flatly promoting Christianity. It was only after this transpired that a suit was brought: http://americanhumanist.org/system/storage/2/9b/d/5406/Ocala_Complaint_as_filed_11-25-14.pdf
Sorry but facts trump feelings and you've yet to show proof that "An atheist group suing a church for advertising their bible study in a mall.", or even that an atheist has gone out of their way for no reason to harass believers.
+Paul Spoerry the links are there. Feel free to discuss them to yourself because I'm not going to argue over fact with somebody such as yourself. My earlier example was an example borne out of cynicism, therefore I cannot confirm such an occurrence. Yet this isn't needed, for there are plenty of other examples. Point is, you don't see Christians suing atheist groups for their stupid billboards yet you see it the other way around. Why? Atheists are butthurt, they're afraid that they may actually be wrong. Point proven, now get out of my sight.
