Oliver was just a year or two too soon! Gahhh! At this point, Stewart IS the Daily Show, I see no feet that can fill his shoes 🙁

I still remember when he was the replacement host and I was suspicious.

He will be missed for sure. But even he has always said that it was the Daily Show WITH Jon Stewart. He knew he would be moving on at some point and that the show would continue.

+Georgi Var Then did you miss the criticism of non-oversight of the drone program? criticism of failure to close git-mo? The government jobs for large campaign sponsors? failure for anyone from the admin to show up at that French unity march with the other world leaders? The "illusion" of the coalition against ISIS? All over his run theres been criticism.
Hatred of fox & co doesn't mean you have to love Obama.
Even the most recent interview with the president asked some decent questions.

Yeah I'm with +Thomas Wrobel on this one… while clearly in the not a Republican camp he certainly called to task the pres many times.

+Michael Moskau B-Dub is currently out of work.

It's like 2014 and the end of The Colbert Report all over again, how does everyone want as a replacement?

Personally I would like a combo of Jason Jones and Samantha Bee as a Husband and Wife dual anchor fake news team, like when they covered for Jon Stewart recently, it would be an interesting change in format.

  23. Paul Spoerry says

    February 12, 2015 at 12:22 pm

I think they're both very funny, and clearly good writers, but they're not as good in front of the camera (consistently at least). I also think they need somebody who is as quick as Jon during interviews.

    +Paul Spoerry

I do agree, I thought the same.

I was hoping that both of them together would mask it a bit.

    I do like Jordan Klepper.

  25. Bliss Morgan says

    February 12, 2015 at 12:38 pm

Jessica Williams could be an interesting change for the face of the show.

  26. Paul Spoerry says

    February 13, 2015 at 6:01 pm

Yeah Jessica has sorta hit her stride lately, she seemed out of place when she first start but has really settled in. That said, she plays the black card a lot of her bits… not that it's bad, but Larry Wilmore just kinda locked that in with his own show. The new kid Hasan has been pretty impressive out of the gate. I think the thing with all of those is I'm not sure what their interview style is.. I mean comeon, Jon was a good comedian, not outstanding, not insane-o-great, but good… it was that he could couple all of that with a quick wit, fearlessness, and bomb interviewing skills. Whodathunk that guy that was on MTV all those years ago would have busted out with interviewing chops like that?!

  27. James Rizando says

    February 13, 2015 at 6:06 pm

I'm for Sam Bee. Woman. Clever as all get-out! Put in her time. Kristen Schaal is also so clever!
