Huckabee rips Obama over choice to lead Army – CNNPolitics.com
Mike Huckabee said Saturday that President Barack Obama’s decision to nominate a gay man to lead the Army was made so he could appease “America’s homosexuals.”
On Friday, President Obama nominated Eric K. Fanning to be the next secretary of the Army. If confirmed by the Senate, which he probably will be given his extensive leadership history, Fanning would become the first openly gay person to hold that position. But leave it to Christian hate-preacher and GOP Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee to dismiss Fanning’s nomination — not because he lacks any credentials, but because of what he does in the bedroom.
“It’s clear President Obama is more interested in appeasing America’s homosexuals than honoring America’s heroes,” the former Arkansas governor said in a statement released by his campaign. “Veterans suicide is out-of-control and military readiness is dangerously low, yet Obama is so obsessed with pandering to liberal interest groups he’s nominated an openly gay civilian to run the Army. Homosexuality is not a job qualification. The U.S. military is designed to keep Americans safe and complete combat missions, not conduct social experiments.“
This is the sort of bigotry Christians like him have been pushing for years and it’s the sort of discrimination GOP leaders rarely speak out against. Fanning has been serving as the acting under secretary of the Army for months now and is highly recommended by Army Secretary John McHugh, whom he will be replacing. Before, he was Defense Secretary Ash Carter's chief of staff and one of his closest advisers. Carter calls Fanning "an excellent choice."
"Widely viewed as one of the most capable leaders in the Pentagon, Fanning became Air Force undersecretary in April 2013. He served several months as acting secretary while the confirmation of now-Secretary Deborah Lee James was stuck in Congress."
But clearly because he's gay… he must not be qualified?! Screw you Huckabee.

It's the bigotry that makes me question my beliefs and become an atheist.
GOP bashing America, Americans, and the President all while claiming to be patriots.

That just add fuel to the fire. 🙂
In every other Western country the opposition would be more than happy for such "debates" as they would marginalize that/those candidate(s) to an abysmal election result…
