‘Star Wars’ fan dies after getting wish to see ‘Force Awakens’ early
A terminally ill ‘Star Wars’ fan, whose last wish to see the newest film in the saga was granted last week, died on Tuesday.
This guy had a rare form of cancer and didn't think he would make it to the release of TheForceAwakens. The Internet blew up over it sharing his story and hashtagging: . Mark Hamill and John Boyega took up the call and JJ Abrams, Lucasfilm, and Disney made it happen and got him a private screening of the unfinished film. He just passed.
This is fantastic. It's like that movie where the group of friends tried to break in to what was basically the Lucas stronghold so that one of them, terminally ill, could see the movie before he died.
