I'm a liberal, and I think he's generalizing stuff encompassing more than shootings. I don't think he means to belittle the shooting.

Really?! I mean it's THE biggest thing in the news. A presidential candidate isn't prepped for that? I find that unlikely… Not impossible… But pretty unlikely.
