This US Army Facebook page just shut down some misogynist trolls, and it was awesome.
Social media hero of the day.
Two badass ladies became the first two female Rangers. Idiots on Facebook of course assume they were given special treatment. Turns out whoever mans their official Facebook page just kept shutting them down over and over.

I was always under the impression that not only did women not get special treatment when joining elite military groups, but that they get ridden even harder. That being for two reasons; one, to get the 'just in it to make waves', unqualified ones to wash out; and two, to make sure that there is no doubt in anyone's mind that they didn't get special treatment. IDK, maybe I'm wrong, but that's how it seemed to me.

I think until now they were not allowed to be Rangers at all. The Navy just announced they'd now allow women to be go through SEAL training too. I think with any of these groups it doesn't matter at the end a persons gender, the team they get on, if they get through, HAS to have complete trust. These are the best of the best and being a cohesive unit is a requirement.
