Common decongestant may be worthless, study finds | Ars Technica
Doctors and pharmacists call on the FDA to ditch phenylephrine.
There's a reason you can still get pseudoephedrine, it's just behind the counter. It's because the active ingredient in Sudafed PE, phenylephrine, is crap and doesn't work.
If ain't broke, don't fix it. I've had to sign my life away to Sudafed but it's absolutely worth the extra minute. Chemistry is chemistry – stick the hard stuff.
It's not even that hard unless it's turned into bathtub crank. It's a decongestant that's super effective. Plain and simple.
+Paul Spoerry sarcasm. It does work great for me. It can string you out if you use too much though or with other drugs.
I just laughed when the authorities decided putting it behind the counter would have any effect on meth products.
+Kevin Galipeau hehehe… yes… sarcasm implied in mine as well. I find the behind the counter frustrating. A household of three people who suffer from allergies and I can only buy x amount at a time?! ugh.
+Paul Spoerry I don't know what the max purchase was last time but I think I bought 30 pills. Send your wife in too. If you need a recipe, meet me know.
I've found it easier at times to score meth from a dealer rather than sign at the pharmacy. It's about the same price too.
Believe it or not MDA works great on congestion, clears it right up!
