Geeknet CEO Kathryn McCarthy said in the press release that the move would enable Geeknet and ThinkGeek to bring its products to the attention of new consumers, as well as to "expand [its] product offerings to keep up with industry and customer demands."

Every time I hear something like this it usually works out backwards where they end up destroying something good rather than make it better. I hope I am wrong. Always though thinkgeek.com had some really cool stuff, even if I can afford most of it.

To be fair… while not usually my style there have been a few shirts and whatnot I've picked up for me or the kid from HotTopic and the quality has always been pretty high. I just don't see how ThinkGeek fits in with what they currently sell.
