Google Chrome will finally eat less RAM from this December
If you’re one of the millions of people using Google Chrome on a daily basis, you know how much it can slow down your computer. It’s going to get better.

They claim up to 50% less on some major sites. This will be a welcome change… even on my 16GB desktop (and yes… I'm tab insane but also use The Great Suspender to help with memory) I've had Windows tell me Chrome is using to much and needs to be shut down. uhhhh what?! Seriously. I'll have the browser and maybe a remote desktop connection open and it gobbles up that much?!
