Secret CIA assessment says Russia was trying to help Trump win White House
The U.S. has identified individuals and groups who passed Democratic Party material to WikiLeaks.
The CIA has now concluded with "high confidence" that Moscow was not only interfering with the election, but that its actions were intended to help Trump, according to a senior U.S. official. The assessment is based in part on evidence that Russian actors had hacked Republicans as well as Democrats but were only releasing information harmful to Trump's rival, Hillary Clinton.
President Barack Obama has ordered a full-scale review of campaign-season cyberattacks to be completed before he leaves office in January. White House spokesman Eric Schultz has stated, "This is not an effort to challenge the outcome of the election."
Michelle Matson says
I call bullshit. Move along to a factual post and not one made up and cut up to fit a haters idea world.
Mike G says
I agree +Michelle Matson, it's bullshit. The main stream media had more influence on the election than the Russians could dream of having. They pushed Hillary and got Trump. The Dems can't admit they blew it, so they need someone outside to blame.
Paul Spoerry says
I LOVE when someone says "mainstream media" in the negative. It's an instant indicator that they're an idiot.
Mike G says
+Paul Spoerry I'm not sure if you are just a troll or that you believe corporate controlled media (main stream media) reports anything beyond what their corporate masters allow.
Since you attacked my intelligence without offering a rebuttal, I'll assume you are an ignorant troll.
John Poteet says
Oh look! This is +Paul Spoerry's post and some tRumpkin is showing up in the comments thread calling the OP a troll. Yes, +Mike G IS an idiot.
Mike G says
+John Poteet are you +Paul Spoerry's sycophant? You assume I voted Trump, and attacked me, not my position. I guess you are just an ignorant troll too.
John Poteet says
Easy block.

For anyone interested +Mike G took a snippet of these comments and posted it publicly, with me tagged, claiming I'm a troll. You can find it here; it's pretty funny: https://plus.google.com/u/0/109456146066308931031/posts/WGJiLV6WXsP
Let's start with the fact that it's "mainstream" not "main stream".
Mike… all you did was drop in with a non-argument with no reference or citation to back up any claim you made. I bet you didn't even bother to read the article since it's mainstream media. Had you done so, you would have seen what I wrote in the post was simply a summary of what the article was stating.
I fully own that I simply blew you off in my comment. What you're not considering is that I took a trip down the posts on your profile and saw that it's filled with mainstream media bashing. You rarely qualify or cite how they are biased… you just state that it's so. You post a lot of opinion but cite nothing except the thing for which you take exception. And you take exception to most everything. Everyone is dumb, blind, or being force fed from mainstream media. You… you clearly are not. You hilariously believe you're much more intelligent than everyone else.
Thomas Wrobel says
a) The media in general did not push Hillary. If they pushed Hillary you would have heard "Trump Foundation" more then "Clinton Foundation". The media instead just focused on whatever scandal they could, to get as much viewers as possible at that moment.
b) The Russians having influence over the election, regardless of if they influenced the result is still concerning. To ignore it just because "your guy" won is insane.
c) If you are claiming this is all made up, yet back a guy backing a guy that posts about Hillary running a child sex ring from a pizza place, you are a raging hypocrite.

The Samantha Bee episode were she interviews paid Russian trolls.
Oksana Szulhan says
I would tend to agree with you, +Thomas Wrobel, and this type of information has been around for as long as I can remember, especially since Russia's war on Ukraine; however, those balaclavas don't hide the facial features well enough, and the clothing would probably be a dead give-a-way to anyone who is practised well-enough in IDing.
Something smells with that particular YouTube segment.

+Oksana Szulhan Sam Bee is a comedy show so it's possible this is just a gag. However, the "Agency" aka "Troll Factory" is a real thing in Russia.

OK, +Paul Spoerry; that explains it . . . I thought this Sam Bee was a bit off the wall in her interviewing, and was not aware of her until I saw the video. Having a bizarre sense of humour myself, I should have picked up on that ;=)
Thanks for the link; if it wasn't that article, I have come across several in the last year or so on the subject. As well, coming from a Ukrainian background, with my Dad and his army buddies being WWII Vets from that part of the world, I'm well aware of this sort of manipulation, obfuscation, sleeping spies, etc . . .
. . .walking around looking stupid is just my cover :=)
Paul Spoerry says
Yeah Sam Bee was a previous 'correspondent' on The Daily Show and has since spun off her own show. It's a news comedy show so while often on point (in my view) take everything with a grain of salt.
