I know I know… I'm like Colbert, I don't see color… still, my initial reaction was "fawwwwwwwwwwwwwwk this is gunna be nuts… and I dunno if in a good way or bad." After seeing the officially official trailer… where a bunch of different students navigate a predominantly white Ivy League college… I could see this being a good thing for everyone. Hit the trailer up, it's tackling racial issues but not so direct that I think most people will go into their typical "uh what? Equality is a thing now… there's no racial divide… I mean… is there?" (or worse… ok a lot of the time it's worse but go with me) mode but instead see a show that tackles racial themes with a combination of honesty, intelligence, irreverence and wit.
And I know it's SOOO not cool black gals… but as a bald white dude… some of your hair do's are AMAZING. To be fair though, I think if I was around in the 50's I would have thought bee-hives were the shit too… cuz I don't have hair.

Now I have 2 movies I need to watch besides Civil War. Puerto Ricans in Paris looks hilarious but Dear White People is exactly the kind of movie we need these days because people have to realize that this kind of shit is not fairtales that people make up, its real and even if it takes a comedy to get people to wake up to it, so be it, after all, Colbert, Oliver and Stewart use comedy to open a hell of a lot of eyes to the truth.
