DO NOT BUT A PIXEL PHONE FROM VERIZON

PSA: If you like updates, don’t buy the Google Pixel phone from Verizon
Hate OS updates? Love crapware and restrictions? We’ve got the phone for you!

Google gave the following statement to 9to5Google: "Monthly security updates will come from Google (for all models), and system updates will be managed by Verizon for Verizon models, and Google for unlocked models bought from Google Store."

So on the up-side you'll get security updates from Google. On the downside… updates via the carrier will be just like all updates from carriers. Slow, bundled with crapware and with restrictions. Just buy from the Google store… they have 0% financing and it'll work on any carrier.
