Facebook’s director of product design on why websites may be a dying business
“A lot of my designer friends are still focused building websites, and I’m not sure that’s a growth business anymore.”

Um maybe because Facebook wants to BE the Internet. At the end he even says, "But none of these things go away. People still make vinyl records."

    I really dont like the increasing centralization of the net.

    Exactly. And while it's a cool unifying force… the notion of Facebook being so central to the net goes against the entire premise OF the Internet, and the web in particular, which has been a massive decentralizing force for information.
