    Stewart was accelerated though a prism splitting his personality spectrum over a few different shows. I think for the most part she represents the "righteous fury" aspect.

    Yeah and I thought she was a daily show… but she's weekly just like John Oliver who's also wickedly funny. I think that their pieces get to hit a little more because they have more time for the bits and more time to research.

    Indeed, Both really focus on one issue a week, and it works.
    The Daily Show was/is always more a collection of smaller things which I guess is the nature of "news".
    Still, I think its really interesting the impact the show had on the tv landscape.
