The bun goes pretty quick but the patty, cheese, sauce, and the pickles are still in relatively decent shape. Decent shape after being in sulfuric acid for a total of 30 minutes. ugh… now imagine that in your stomach.

Imagine swallowing that thing whole.
….yeah, that's not how digestion works. XD

Isn't there more to the stomach than just an acid bath though? Like bacteria, that gut flora I keep hearing about that antibiotics kills? And then there's like +Bliss Morgan said, some chewing, usually, and even peristalsis and such sort of moving things around and stirring stuff up. I mean… our stomach isn't a big iron box full of acid that just sits there unmoving. There's stuff going on.
What's an unpeeled apple look like after being in Sulfuric Acid? Or an unpeeled orange? Or maybe a walnut or… I'd say a block of tofu but that already looks heinous with its wobbly boinginess so that's a terrible example.
I get that McFood isn't the greatest for a person. I prepare more of my food than I don't… but the idea that it's chemically inert glop is just… well… it's just not true.

Yeah… and saliva in the mouth even plays a role.
Also… it's not limited to McD's: http://aht.seriouseats.com/archives/2010/11/the-burger-lab-revisiting-the-myth-of-the-12-year-old-burger-testing-results.html
