Jeff Sessions: Marijuana Is “Only Slightly Less Awful” Than Heroin
The Attorney General has pot advocates in Massachusetts nervous.
"I realize this may be an unfashionable belief in a time of growing tolerance of drug use. But too many lives are at stake to worry about being fashionable. I reject the idea that America will be a better place if marijuana is sold in every corner store. And I am astonished to hear people suggest that we can solve our heroin crisis by legalizing marijuana – so people can trade one life-wrecking dependency for another that’s only slightly less awful. Our nation needs to say clearly once again that using drugs will destroy your life."
NOT.THE.SAME. I'll hear every single argument as to why pot shouldn't be legal. I think there are valid discussions to be had. I'll probably agree, at least in some part, to some of what would be brought up. However, any attempt to equate using pot to the opioid crisis is ignorant of facts and disrespectful of those who have, or currently are, suffering under the opioid epidemic – much of which is LEGAL right now BTW (and intentional or not as AG he should know the difference – kinda like if he DID or DID NOT talk with Russia).
I've lost people to one. I've never lost anyone to the other. Fuck.this.guy.

Maybe they mistook one of those really long Denny's farts for some intelligible comment on something he really knows nothing about.
