I knew it was going to happen but I'm still annoyed. The character in the thumbnail is repeatedly described as deformed and hideous from the giant scar/wound on half her face. She's also missing an eye because of it. Her lack of physical beauty leads to some major insecurity that is a catalyst for the end of the second book and has repercussions into the 3rd.
I knew they would make her 'Hollywood' scarred but it's still annoying to see. She should have looked more like Jonah Hex.
