It’s time for app developers to fall out of love with Facebook Login
Logging into apps via Facebook in 2009 was a novel idea. In 2018, it’s a sign of how willing we are to hand over data to any third-party app with a simple tap on that familiar blue button.
The Connect with Facebook button/Facebook Login let users skip the account creation step and use their existing Facebook accounts. It comes at the expense of handing over all manner of data to Facebook and allowing apps to pull user profile data for personal information and contact lists.
