The Plus Editor Mobile App

July 16, 2014 by Paul Spoerry 2 Comments

Many of you are familiar with my Chrome extension for formatting posts on Google+ (if not, check it out here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/post-editor-for-google%20/canbakmdapinjpiabkbdgmpenllifmij?hl=en). Right before I’d made my extension, +Daniel Futerman had created a web app to do the same thing (we didn’t know one another was working on nearly the same thing).  The major downside to my extension is it doesn’t run on mobile. While you could use the original Plus Editor web app on your mobile, using it and then copying and pasting the text could be more work than you might want to go through. Welp, Daniel just solved that by releasing The Plus Editor app… just open, add the markup you want, BOOM share it into the native Google+ app.

the +The Plus Editor v2.0

May 27, 2014 by Paul Spoerry 6 Comments

the +The Plus Editor v2.0
So many of you know about my PostE ditor Google+ (http://goo.gl/zohaR6) Chrome Extension that embeds formatting controls into the share box on Google+. In a weird bit of synchronicity +Daniel Futerman was, at the same time (though I think he technically released just prior to me) The Plus Editor.

The Plus Editor is a web based Google+ formatting tool and v2.0 was released not to long ago. While in some instances it's not as easy, because the controls aren't right there on the screen for you, it's also not constrained by the need for Google Chrome and you can bring it up and format on mobile (my extension doesn't work on mobile because mobile Chrome doesn't have the ability to use extensions), etc.

Daniel and I were in close contact shortly after we discovered out mutual creations and have been cross promoting for one another. He's a great guy and The Plus Editor is a great idea. If you're always forgetting how to format posts on G+ then give his website, or my Chrome extension (http://goo.gl/zohaR6) a whirl… I bet they help you out and make formatting a lot easier!

Custom URL help

February 7, 2014 by Paul Spoerry 8 Comments

ok need some #crowsource  help here regarding +Google+. Maybe one of the +Google+ Developers can help. I'm the ONLY person with my name that has anything remotely close to a profile on #GooglePlus . The others have 0 followers (that I can tell), no profile picture, etc. I own the domain name PaulSpoerry.com (tied to my profile with Authorship), the Twitter handle, FB, and everything else you can imagine. WHY am I not able to secure the URL PaulSpoerry?

Facebook has figured this out. There IS another Paul Spoerry on the internet. We're related and have talked. We both have a PaulSpoerry URL on Facebook. Why is it G+ can't handle/figure this out? Can +Vic Gundotra or someone on the G+ team explain this to me? I really don't get it.

In the meantime… if I can't get plus.google.com/+PaulSpoerry … any suggestions on what I should get?!   #ns

Google+ Sees 778% Increase in US Traffic on Launch Day

September 23, 2011 by Paul Spoerry Leave a Comment

We have seen a number of statistics in the last few days on how well Google+ is doing since it’s official launch out of the so-called “field trial”. Today we got numbers from Hitwise, a digital marketing intelligence company, and they show just how successful the Google+ launch was. On Tuesday, the new social network opened its doors to the public, allowing anyone to create an account over the age of 17, instead of requiring an invite to join like they had for the first 3 months.
