Post Editor for Google+ v1.1.0
Newly updated Post Editor for Google+  – a Chrome Extension for formatting Google+ posts!

v1.1.0 addresses most of the issues reported with the first version. It still only focuses on the main post box. I know a lot of v1.0 users want it to work on comments as well. It's next on my ToDo list!

Google+ doesn't offer a ton of formatting options for your posts and the ones it does have you have to remember the markup to use. This isn't so big a deal for those of us who use it regularly or have been around since the beginning. However, it comes up often when I talk with new or infrequent users. So I created a Google Chrome extension called 'Post Editor for Google+' to help!

You can grab the extension from the Chrome Web Store: http://goo.gl/ywkWj3

For anyone who doesn't use Chrome, wants formatting help while on mobile, or is having issues with the extension, +Daniel Futerman has a great web based app called +The Plus Editor that works very similar to this extension. You can check it out here: http://www.thepluseditor.com/

the +The Plus Editor v2.0

May 27, 2014 by Paul Spoerry 6 Comments

the +The Plus Editor v2.0
So many of you know about my PostE ditor Google+ (http://goo.gl/zohaR6) Chrome Extension that embeds formatting controls into the share box on Google+. In a weird bit of synchronicity +Daniel Futerman was, at the same time (though I think he technically released just prior to me) The Plus Editor.

The Plus Editor is a web based Google+ formatting tool and v2.0 was released not to long ago. While in some instances it's not as easy, because the controls aren't right there on the screen for you, it's also not constrained by the need for Google Chrome and you can bring it up and format on mobile (my extension doesn't work on mobile because mobile Chrome doesn't have the ability to use extensions), etc.

Daniel and I were in close contact shortly after we discovered out mutual creations and have been cross promoting for one another. He's a great guy and The Plus Editor is a great idea. If you're always forgetting how to format posts on G+ then give his website, or my Chrome extension (http://goo.gl/zohaR6) a whirl… I bet they help you out and make formatting a lot easier!
