Sammy Griner is better known to most of us as the wildly popular success kid meme. His dad has been fighting kidney disease since 2006; experiencing full kidney failure in 2009. His mom put up a +Gofundme campaign to raise the $75,000 that Medicare wouldn't cover. She made no mention of her son or the meme, she just posted a family picture. In seven days donations eclipsing $85,000 came rolling in (it's now over $90k!).
