Post Editor for Google+ v1.1.0
Newly updated Post Editor for Google+  – a Chrome Extension for formatting Google+ posts!

v1.1.0 addresses most of the issues reported with the first version. It still only focuses on the main post box. I know a lot of v1.0 users want it to work on comments as well. It's next on my ToDo list!

Google+ doesn't offer a ton of formatting options for your posts and the ones it does have you have to remember the markup to use. This isn't so big a deal for those of us who use it regularly or have been around since the beginning. However, it comes up often when I talk with new or infrequent users. So I created a Google Chrome extension called 'Post Editor for Google+' to help!

You can grab the extension from the Chrome Web Store: http://goo.gl/ywkWj3

For anyone who doesn't use Chrome, wants formatting help while on mobile, or is having issues with the extension, +Daniel Futerman has a great web based app called +The Plus Editor that works very similar to this extension. You can check it out here: http://www.thepluseditor.com/

The Plus Editor Mobile App

July 16, 2014 by Paul Spoerry 2 Comments

Many of you are familiar with my Chrome extension for formatting posts on Google+ (if not, check it out here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/post-editor-for-google%20/canbakmdapinjpiabkbdgmpenllifmij?hl=en). Right before I’d made my extension, +Daniel Futerman had created a web app to do the same thing (we didn’t know one another was working on nearly the same thing).  The major downside to my extension is it doesn’t run on mobile. While you could use the original Plus Editor web app on your mobile, using it and then copying and pasting the text could be more work than you might want to go through. Welp, Daniel just solved that by releasing The Plus Editor app… just open, add the markup you want, BOOM share it into the native Google+ app.
